Sometimes, when upgrading the speakers in a customer’s vehicle, we recommend sound-deadening to really get the most out of the new sound system. The sound-deadening is of course an optional service, but in some cases highly recommended.
Vans or people carriers such as Ford Transits, Volkswagen Transporters and Renault vans all hugely benefit from additional sound-deadening. The average door on a vehicle isn’t acoustically sound for an audio upgrade, as the name suggests we “deaden” the unwanted noise. By adding sound-deadening, we can help to reduce road noise and make the most of the new speakers being installed, really taking the audio to the next level.
Our full 3-stage acoustics process starts with Skinz Expert 3m bitchimin type sheets that we install in the metal of the door. Next, we install a layer of Skinz Panel Liner. And when and where it is necessary, we also add Skinz Wave Diffusers. The sound-deadening installation process is fairly time-consuming, but 100% worth the time, effort and cost.
We recently completed a sound-deadening and speaker upgrade on a 2008 Subaru Impreza, we received the following review from the customer:
