About Us
Hi, I’m Simon Lywood, founder and lead technician at Enhanced Car Audio & Security here in Sittingbourne, Kent.
Cars have been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I carried toy cars everywhere and could name makes and models before I even started school. That love for cars turned into a career, and nearly 20 years later, I’m still just as excited about working on them as I was back then.
I started Enhanced Car Audio & Security 20 years ago, working remotely at first before deciding it was time to put down roots. For the past four years, we’ve been proud to call our Sittingbourne workshop at Unit E, London Road Business Estate, home.
What We Do
Every customer comes to us with a different priority, and that’s what I enjoy most — finding the right solution for every car and every driver. We work on everything from Aston Martins to Volkswagens and offer a wide range of services, including:
- Audio Upgrades – Getting the best sound out of a system is a real passion of mine. Once I install a new amplifier, I’ll often spend hours fine-tuning it until it performs at its absolute best.
- Vehicle Security – Protecting cars is just as important as enhancing them. From traditional Scorpion alarms to the latest Pandora Security Systems, we can recommend the right security setup for your vehicle, whether it’s brand new or a classic.
- In-Car Entertainment & Comfort – We also make your driving experience more enjoyable with upgrades like radio installations, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, heated seats, and cruise control.

Recently took my Fiesta and Yaris for audio update and replacement speakers on Yaris. The original speakers were makers and were poor sounding. New speakers have improved sound incredibly.

The team at Enhance were superb from start to finish. They took my Range Rover Sport in to install a retro fit Apple Car Play system. After having experienced difficulties with this system with a previous installer, the team had this up and running in no time. Their knowledge of installing the car play system was impressive. The on-site premises are clean and the staff very friendly if you end up having to wait on site during installation. I will certainly be returning and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Enhance to anyone needing car audio or security assistance!
