As audio experts we thought we would share a few tips to ensure you get the most out of your car audio upgrade:

– Where possible use “Master” files.  The audio in your vehicle is only as good as the music file that you play through it.

– There are lots of different music apps available, in our opinion Tidal is the best (most masters), followed by Spotify and then iTunes.

– For the best quality music you should keep the device plugged in, either via USB or Aux.  If you are playing your music wireless or bluetooth you will lose a lot of the quality.

– Ensure you use original equipment leads.  There are lots of cheap USB leads and connections available but the best quality comes from the original brands such as Apple, Samsung or Google.

– when you first have an audio upgrade your speakers will need 30 – 40 hours of playing time to “run in”.  This will prevent over stretching the spiders in the speakers.

– An audio system is best when it has been EQ’ed, this is only achievable with a Processor.

– Most Pioneer radios have DSP (Digital Sound Processor) built in for a basic EQ.

– An advance sound system will allow you to have different audio settings depending on the type of music you are listening to. E.g. if you listen to both Rock and Classic music you can switch between the various settings.
